I agree with you: we are all flawed and broken in some way and that’s part of what makes us each unique, shapes our personalities or character. Started off well: I was impressed with the good, enjoyable-to-read writing style, and it was quite gripping and interesting initially. The Japanese art of Kintsugi enables us to see the beauty in something with visible cracks, which would be unseen if hidden away. Now to put the icing o the cake how this author was able to present the 'secrets and revelations' that will come out from this read was very well done.

Let The Light In” is the twelfth song on Lana Del Rey’s ninth studio album Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd. By turns heartwarming and heartbreaking, this story of friendship, forgiveness and unexpected romance reveals the lies we tell to hide dark secrets—and what can happen when we let in a little light. My usual reading of choice is crime or psychological thriller but once in a while it is nice to read something different.By day she's a finance manager and looks at numbers a lot of the time, but by night she gets to use actual words and practices putting them together into sentences. a massive amount of time passes while in the book and even though there are large chunks of time missing from being explained or delved into, it wasn't a bad thing. I can wonder and wander, and somehow, it takes me outside of my broken body, to a place where the pain doesn’t matter. We are indeed all ‘broken’ in some way – compassion and acceptance of other’s ‘flaws’ is given back to us multiplied.

To me they show a desire to go beyond the real and to be part of a wider sphere that can’t be described. It feels selfish to focus on my tiny sadnesses, when so many are enduring existential hardships and injustices, with grace and poise.

Millions find joy in his luminous humility, self-deprecating humour in his onstage banter, and in the brilliance of the music and musicians supporting him. It’s an absolutely stunning and heart-breaking WWI story, with a focus on the women left behind when their men go off to war, and it moves along at a cracking pace. Emma has taken what is a very small community, in more ways than one from the outset, and turned it into what I hope will be and remain a self-suffient community almost( apart from the tourist trade that is!

About the last third of the book takes a serious turn as it addresses a wrong that often isn't talked about, particularly in literature. As a person with an invisible chronic illness, I have to spend a lot of time getting people to understand how my illness works. The odds might have been stacked against her, but Edith had persevered and done her utmost not to let Benedict’s betrayal quell her spirit and ruin her life.
