With the lactose sugar already broken down, Pauls Zymil Thickened Cream is simply regular cream, but lactose free. Try Aquafaba whipped cream – aquafaba translated to “bean water” and is the liquid from garbanzo (chickpeas) bean, but you can also us white bean. Quantities and applications vary by recipe—one swap might be best for baking recipes, while another is suited for savory sauces—so prepare to experiment a bit for a truly seamless substitute.
