Metal is prevalent, featuring three breakdowns, one of which being in the first minute, while the fast choruses make it the ultimate EDM workout anthem. The band started recording their second album at Kohlekeller Studios together with producer Kristian Kohlmannslehner in autumn of 2013. Tuonela Magazine described the album as a "mash-up between Eurodance-inspired tunes and brutal djent-sprinkled riffs. On 6 December 2021, the band submitted "Pump It" into the German national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, [4] but ultimately were not included in the final list of participants.

This is obviously half the point, and the band are clearly enjoying themselves (and, indeed, trolling those who don't dig it). Writing for Sputnikmusic, Trey noted improvements this album made in comparison to the band's previous work stating, "Each album since Crystals had been increasingly bland and uninspired, while at the same time neutering the heavier elements of their past; Tekkno fixes all of that.

A new name, a renewed sense of style, and clearly they were having as much fun as possible when making this. Having not heard this one before, I wasn’t sure how to take it after the first few spins, but it essentially fits as an album filler to drive between the bangers and breakdowns. On 8 April 2022, the band released their first song under their new name, "Spaceman", featuring rapper Finch. Furthermore, they are looking forward to a completely sold-out UK tour in September to present their sixth studio album “Tekkno”.

Even if you don’t understand a word of German, you get the idea when he raps, “Wo sind die Jedi-Ritter? One of the strongest lead singles aside from the obvious ‘Pump It’, the choruses and melodic sections are incredibly catchy but doesn’t cross the line into cringy. Non-personalized content and ads are influenced by things like the content you’re currently viewing and your location (ad serving is based on general location). Hardstyle beats (“Parasite”) also join the heavy and driving metal sound on “Tekkno,” adding a rhythmic component to the guitar riffs with electronic inserts that further polish their sound. The screams are full, the overall tone is heavy with underlying EDM/synth elements throwing back to the early sounds of acts such as Enter Shikari and Skip The Foreplay – but perfected for an audience in 2022.

A certain edge that wasn’t there before has now become the raving pink elephant in the room, packed with never-ending energy and breaking every boundary. On 17 November 2012, the band announced after a concert in Düsseldorf that they were parting ways with their drummer Michael Maletzki; he was replaced by David Friedrich. Their sixth effort, “Tekkno” – available September 16th, 2022, through Century Media Records – is no different. One of the reasons for this is because the music video for this song went viral and the band became an overnight sensation due to its very light-hearted/comedic approach. Their earlier work can easily be compared to that of Asking Alexandria and Motionless In White – undisputable metalcore with electronic enhancements and some absurd lyrics alongside the more poignant.

The vocals are annoying, the disparate elements of the music are all so brightly coloured that often they refuse to mix, instead talking loudly over each other like unfunny people who think the best bit of a joke is in how loudly you tell it.They are often known for their comedic side but this they dealt with, with extreme maturity and seriousness. I attended their live concert at this year’s Alcatraz Festival in Belgium, and let me just say… the crowd went berserk. On 8 July 2022, the band released the fourth single, "Fckboi", with the American metalcore band Conquer Divide. The jumble of ideas evidently yields lesser ones, and when they do show up, it’s not an insignificant gulf.
