Description

Bunnahabhain's whiskies showcase a softer, more approachable nature, with a focus on the underlying malt flavors and the influence of the sea. Non-chill filtered and natural colour, taste the origins of Bunnahabhain with an alluring balance of sweet fruit, nuts, vanilla and a delicate coastal influence. The General Wine Company is a family-owned and operated wine merchant in Liphook, Hampshire, England.

uk accepts no liability for inaccuracies or misstatements about products by manufacturers or other third parties. After some time in the glass, the fruit turns from orange to darker sherry aromas and the beautiful acidity of the juicy orange takes on a little salty character. Bunnahabhain is one of the largest distilleries in Islay, with four pot stills with 30,000 L capacity, producing more than 2M liters of pure spirit per year. There are some sherry cask notes of dried fruit in here, but they’re buried under a layer of creamy, oaky vanilla.Bunnahabhain takes pride in its commitment to preserving the natural flavors of its whiskies, with a focus on using natural color and non-chill filtration. This coastal influence becomes an integral part of its character, especially as it matures gracefully for 18 years in this unique environment. Bunnahabhain führt hier keine Kältefiltration durch, was positiv auf den Geschmack und die Öligkeit auswirkt. There, the whisky resolves into a single flavor combining malt, tannic wood, and a citric bite, with accents of all the elements heretofore mentioned.

I've experimented with infusing a few spirits, but I find it plays incredibly well with high-proof American Applejack and with some bourbon whiskies. Boo-nah-ha-vun [that’s how I’ve been told to pronounce it anyway] is one of the longest inhabitants of Islay, and certainly stands proud by its Gaelic history.Starting with the younger members of the trio: Bunnahabhain began releasing the 12 year old cask strength in 2020; it is currently on its third iteration.
