It’s been about six weeks since I’ve last seen my hair stylist and right at my hairline on my forehead, I’m starting to notice those pesky grey roots are showing up!

Good Housekeeping participates in various affiliate marketing programs, which means we may get paid commissions on editorially chosen products purchased through our links to retailer sites. This did last pretty well throughout the day, but just be aware if you do accidently touch the area it does come off on the fingers a little, like the spray version.Coloring my hair is not really a secret, but how I keep my pesky grey hairs under control between my hair appointments with my stylist was, until today. Obviously you’ll pick the shade that matches your desired color the best, the lighter or darker one or a combination of mixing both shades! I’m right at the point of wondering whether I should not conceal any stray greys anymore – I don’t have many but they’re irritatingly patchy rather than evenly shot through my hair (how annoying is it that any form of ageing can be so randomly uneven… ).

This root-cover-up powder is meant to cover dark roots or regrowth at the part or scalp line and it allows you to extend your highlights back towards your scalp. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. It’s a breeze to apply and it allows me to not have to visit my salon as often, which is always a nice treat on the budget! Pressed powders are blends of opacifying agents, micas, colourants, and emollients, which are free-flowing powder mixtures until we press them into shape in their compacts. The dual-shade palette of our Color Blending Concealer gives you the freedom to customize your shade and allows you to blend to perfection. This is a trick I learned from a very popular hair stylist who works with a group of sisters we are ALL following. Do you think it would be possible to brush it through as I am sick of people telling me I should dye it. The dual-shade palette of our Colour Blending Concealer gives you the freedom to customize your shade and allows you to blend to perfection.

Overall this did cover my root area well, although it did take a lot longer to apply than the L'Oreal Spray version. I usually use a root coverup that it’s in a tube with a wand like mascara, but if this one doesn’t take too long to apply, I might prefer it!of product, which I do think is expensive, considering how much you pay for an at home hair colour, but hopefully this should last you. Give your color an instant refresh with the John Frieda Root Blur Colour Blending Concealer, a dual-shade pressed powder palette that is easy to blend into your roots for a quick touch up that will last until you wash it out. also great to use whilst growing out roots till you decide which colour to choose with regular colourants. This one area by my forehead in particular really annoys me because I have this tiny patch of grey hair that always seem to show my color fading so much quicker than the rest of my hair. This would have been a god send for me when I used to have blonde highlights, my dark roots grow in at lightening speed.

So even though this product sample clearly isn’t my shade, I do at least, have some greys to try it out on. I love having products like John Frieda’s Root Blur available at Target because Target is my go-to for everything, including my hair products! The John Frieda Root Blur is easy to apply and I never feel any left-over residue left on my hair at all. Overall I did like this better than the spray version as it felt a little more comfortable than the L'Oreal one, but to be honest I think I would only use these root touch up products in an emergency as I just find although colouring your hair, a more time consuming, messy process, it just works better for me knowing, my roots are covered and I don't have to worry about transfer if I accidently touch my scalp. com provides food ingredient and nutritional information to consumers with food allergies for educational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for reading an ingredients label or food packaging in person.

I also loved the fact this came in a compact with a mirror as well as a brush as this is such a great idea if your out and about, or in an emergency if you simply don't have time to fully re-dye your roots again.
